An Insanely Simple Way To Improve Productivity With Microsoft Word
There never seem to be enough hours in the day to do everything we set out to do as people. There are personal, professional, and even academic obligations require our utmost attention. With so little free time to relax, how can we think about adding one more activity to our days? This is certainly true when we’re given a project last minute to complete with a tight deadline.
Activating Focus Mode
If the internet serves as a distraction to you and prevents you from focusing, Microsoft Word has a simple solution to keep you on task. In Word 2016 for Mac, you can activate the ‘Focus’ button the same way that Fast Company writer Catherina Baab-Muguira did while writing an article titled, “The Stupidly Simple Productivity Hack Hiding in Microsoft Word”.
Focus mode made its debut in Word 2011 and was reintroduced with Word 2016 after an outpouring of support for it from users. Microsoft made it so that you can change your screen’s background color to mimic that of a wooden desk. Depending on your preferences, choose from mahogany, rosewood, walnut, and others.
The success of this tool is that it forces you to focus. Even if you’re not down with working on a project, you’ll be able to get it done faster when you initiate the mode. Doing so is as simple as pressing a button, too, so you can make it a habit. With so many things demanding your attention, isn’t it nice to be able to hunker down and make fast work of document creation?
To activate Focus mode in Word for Mac 2016, you’ll need to do the following:
-
Select the ‘View’ tab.
You’ll need to choose ‘Focus’. If that option isn’t available, you can choose ‘Focus’ on the bottom status bar or on the system menu by selecting ‘View’ and ‘Focus’. -
Change the background if you want.
Go to ‘View’ and choose ‘Focus’. You’ll then be given a wide selection of options such as Birch and Black Oak to choose from in the drop-down menu. -
Press the escape key to take you out of Focus mode.
You can then return to normal mode with very little effort.
Focus mode hides toolbars, reduces clutter, and removes distractions from your screen so you can get busy. You won’t spend extra minutes trying to decide what color or size of the font to use. You’ll commit to them and roll up your sleeves to get the job done fast and accurately so you can get it in on time to your boss or professor who gave you last-minute work.
Alleviate Stress with Instant Downloads of Microsoft Office
When you buy Microsoft Office, you gain access to a powerful software suite complete with programs that you use often, such as Microsoft Word. The tools and features that make up the popular word processing program help with productivity which alleviates stress because you can accomplish more in less time.
If you haven’t had a chance to download Microsoft Office for Mac or PC, don’t worry because you can purchase it day and night through the Software Keep website. The online storefront never closes, which benefits people with all types of schedules.
Get Overnight Projects Done Quickly
How many times have you been faced with the challenge of a last-minute project and come to the realization that you didn’t have the right tools on hand to complete it? If you add Microsoft Office to your home computer and mobile devices, you’ll be able to create and edit on the go with ease. That means you’ll have no problem maximizing the hours you’ve been given to work on an overnight project.
Have Software on Hand for Your Next Big Last Minute Project
You’ll also have the software you need in the future, and you won’t lose valuable time searching stores and online retailers for the version you feel most comfortable using. You’ll be able to make the most of the time you have to work on the project because you gain immediate access to your download of MS Office.
